Notice to the members

Whachyea/Greetings to all our community members.

This message is to help us all to understand what is happening with our Comprehensive Community Plan. If you recall we started this initiative a few years ago and then it stalled for a while. We are revising it and we ask for your help. Our plan is our own, we wrote and it is a living document. We do have four worlds helping us to develop it, and also write our documents. In my opinion, (Terri Lou) I believe Michael and Judy Bopp are invaluable to us, and their love for our first nation is clear. You only have to spend a bit of time with them to see this love.

Unfortunately our community has always struggled with this issue of bringing people together. This is nothing new. I have been up at that mike umpteen different times, asking- numerous different Chief and Councils "What about the other members who don't live in the Sault?". Each reply was always the same and people know this; funds.

There are however, 4 communities so far who seem to be identified by us, the members, where people are interested in volunteering, fund raising, and participating in the CCP. These communities are Thunder Bay; Sault Ste Marie; Sudbury; and Toronto.

We are going to begin to initiate the community plan again, and this is an update and sharing session with new stuff from the 2016 gathering CCP meetings added. We are sorry for the short notice.

We have scheduled a conference for the existing committees sometime in either October or November dates have not been finalized. People who have not participated in the past, feel free to get involved now.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to become involved. This is our plan, our story, and our responsibility to make it work! In the spirit of community unity I hope everyone will try and make it out!
